Hmmm... a populist reformer with a very progressive voting record, who won re-election by a healthy margin in a rural state which Kerry only barely carried. Sounds damned good to me. Of course, I'm sure the Democratic punditocracy will be quick to pronounce him unelectable if he gets anywhere near the nomination. Unlike, say, Hillary Clinton, who so clearly resonates with middle America...
